The Concept
Users scan a QR code to launch the AR experience.
A giant AR boom box materializes, syncing to the beat of All the Way Up, before bursting open to reveal Fat Joe.
Fat Joe invites fans to join the #HipHop50 challenge.
Participants reenact iconic dance moves or poses representing each decade or pillar of hip hop culture.
The final pose triggers a virtual fireworks show with graffiti spelling “50 Years of Hip Hop Starts Now”.
Experience concludes with a CTA to donate to UHHM.
The Outcome
While the experience was never released, the design received strong feedback from stakeholders for its creativity, attention to cultural detail, and ability to translate a physical museum’s energy into a portable, AR format.
